temporary nature, Short Essay

It is called nature but it is not natural. Nature is a concept; it is created by and for humanity. It is an artificial construct yet we deceive ourselves by defining it as something outside of our control. Nature is produced for our needs and consumption. However, there is a dream for nature to be something more than our invention. Humans want nature to be real; something outside of our control.
We are living in alienated times even though it is our creation.
As an artist, I focus on the seemingly meaningless and feelings of insignificance and alienation. I want to shed light on the meaningless, the insignificance, and alienation so I can create dreams of a better place. Planted nameless flowerbeds, trees on the sidewalk, little flowers in the park, and numberless grasses, can whisper or holler words in my artwork. Even if they disappear whenever and however, they reveal their worth on the vast plains of my canvas. I like to take pieces of nature and weave them together into a real landscape.
Futhermore, my ultimate goal for this art project is to reflect our lives. This is attempted by exploring the relationship between me and the world through the faces of artificial and abandoned nature. I use body shapes and movement, which are concrete, as a means to express the diversity of the human experience; however, reinterpreted to illustrate consciousness and existence in the natural world.
