Lee Young Hee

artist's note

As opening The Intercourse
Between Body, Flower, and Light...

Even at this time when everyone else is asleep,
Valuing the time I am spending on
New challenges and dreams,
I look back on my own world of art.
Although one cell itself has
Enormous power to reproduce DNAs,
We humans destroy our priceless cells
By either ourselves or others.
Why and how do we end up neglecting ourselves
By concerning more about loneliness, depression, and stress
Rather than the pursuit of happiness and beauty of life!
Cells establish a factory
Where every of them controls
The balance of our bodies;
How do we expect
To demonstrate our artistic skills
While concealing our instinctive curiosity
For beauty of human bodies
And their movements?
The confidence we should earn by burning disguise
Before expecting to be loved.
Infinite Personality is
Subconscious expression of one’s endless identity.
In every cell that constitutes a completed alive being,
consciousness exists just like waves of the ocean;
Creativity is about being oneself.
Most say it is demanding, but the most important is to be original.
Creativity is not about forming absence into presence;
Rather, it is transforming presence into another presence.
Once we seek for an imaginative perspective differing from others,
We all shall be creative human beings.
This is the way to become a creative individual.
