최근 남양주 천마산 입구에 커피종가<고종의 뜰>을 비롯하여 베이커리, 브런치 카페, 테이크아웃, 레스토랑, 유기농 두부공장이라는 외식문화공간을 디자인하여 연출하는 이정환대표를 만났다. 서울 근거리에 이렇게 좋은 곳이 있을까 싶을 정도로 자연을 훼손하지 않고 만들어진 풍경에 감탄하지 않을 수 없었다. 천마산의 기를 흠뻑 받아 흙 내음 솔 내음에 절로 마음까지 맑아졌다.
이정환대표는 쾌적하고 멋진 외식 문화공간, 참다운 생명공간을 디자인하고 연출 해 내려는 사람으로 여기 이곳 외에도 총 8개 건축물을 디자인 설계하여 하나의 외식테마 공간을 벨트화 하여 만들어 냈는데 건축은 물론, 실내 디자인, 외식문화 공간연출과 브랜드 창업 컨설팅을 도맡아 진두지휘중이다.
자연을 살리되 최대한 훼손하지 않는 걸 철칙으로 하신다는 이정환대표님의 굳은 신념으로
자연과 하나된 일 자체를 즐기는 대표님의 콧노래는 메아리 되어 방방곡곡에 환경을 생각하는 아름다움으로 완성되리라 믿는다.

“Food is life.
The space where we eat food is a space for living.
Food is an occupation.
Food is a science and art." He believes so. He had agonized how to make all the people feel happy with foods and restaurants, and dressed the out-dining spaces (restaurants, cafeterias, etc.,) with a design for the first time in Korea.
We met Lee Jeoung Hwan who had designed and produced a variety of out-dining spaces ranging from the Origin coffee shop "Garden of King Gojong" at the entrance to Mt. Cheonma in Namyangjoo through bakeries and blunch cafeterias to take-outs, restaurants and organic-fertilized tofu factory. We could not but be impressed with the landscapes he had created in the suburbs of Seoul, never destroying the nature. Our minds were wholly purified by the smell of earth at the foot of Mt. Cheonma.
CEO Lee Jeoung Hwan is an artist designing and producing comfortable and elegant out-dining cultural space or true spaces of life. So far, he has designed 8 buildings other than such out-dining spaces. In all, he has belted a series of out-dining thematic spaces in every term: construction, interior design, production of out-dining culture, new brand consulting, and the like.
His firm philosophy is "keep nature but not destroy it." We believe that his hum enjoying his work in the nature echoes throughout the country only to keep our natural environment.
